Wiitendo Wii mod

wiitendo wii mod

The Wiitendo Mod is basically a Wii inside the shell of a gutted NES. LEDs have been added and can be used with the power button. The original controller ports have been converted into gamecube controller ports. A Gamecube memory card has also been intergtated.  The creator of this Wii mod had to perform much rewiring and soldering, using a dremmel to cut out almost all of the original NES hardware. The top can also be opened giving acces to Wii SD card and other features. The eject button can be found in a small hole in the front that can be poked with a pin or something somilar. Check out the video of this Wii Mod in action.

Mario Galaxy Wii Mod

This Wii mod comes courtesy of Morphoen Mods. This guy could give Ben Heck a serious run for his money. This spectacular Wii mod  has a Wiimote docking station built in, but wait, it also has sound effects as a bonus. Some lucky guy picked this baby up on Ebay as it was sold as part of the Childs Play auctions. Im no child but this great Wii Mod is still on my Christmas list. Check out some eye candy in the image gallery.

Turn your Nintendo Wii into a portable gaming Laptop

Wii laptop mod

Benjamin heck has been at it again, This time he has turn his Wii into a portable laptop style system. Here are the specs

  • 16:9 widescreen LCD, 7-inch diagonal.
  • Stereo sound
  • Gamecube controller port
  • Built-in short range Sensor Bar
  • Ports for using original Sensor Bar and A/V output jacks (for use on external display)
  • Built-in power supply and compartment for power cord
  • Dimensions: 8.5 x 7.7 x 2-inches

We Particularly like how he has intergrated a short range sensor bar into the design. This Wii Mod is right up there with the best in terms of design, intergration and functionality. However im not to sure it completly works as a good portable, Can you imagine trying to play this on a train or bus. LOL.

Check out this video of this great Wii Mod

WODE Modchip – Play backups from USB HDD

Posted by admin On January - 10 - 2010

What is Wode ?

Wode is a 4th generation mod chip that that is revolutionary in the way that  it not allows you to play backups and different region games on DMS and D3 DVD drive, but it also has  the ability to play ISO games backups from USB devices. Having the added ability of USB support which allows for an external USB source such as and external USB hard drive or pen drive to load Wii games backups from. This bring a host of benefits to the table. examples would be that load times will be dramatically increased , Media and disk burning is non existent, works with all models including the latest D3 -2  Wii DVD drives. WODE is currently the only Modchip that will allow D3-2 drive enabled Wiis to boot backup games, making it the only Modchip solution available to people who own D3-2 model Wiis. A welcome bonus is also the fact that you can boot backups form NTFS formatted Hard drives.

WODE has already scheduled it first firmware update which will allow backing up you original Wii gmaes and storing it to USB device such as USB hard drive, USB pen drive or SD card. This feature directly competes with USB gekko and SD gekko which already allow for games to be ripped to SD and USB drives, what sets WODE apart is it ability to do this inherently without the requirement of installing the Homebrew channel to the Wii or even worse, buying a LG 8164d DVD drive which cost as much as WODE jukebox itself.

Some of the features of WODE include Solderlesss installation, a brick blocker which protect your console form incorrect updates, USB HDD support which allows games to be loaded directly form USB HDD and D3-2 support which allows games to be loaded form USB HDD even with DS3-2 drives.

WODE JUKEBOX

you have to see this for yourself, WODE jukebox is completely unique.

WODE Features

- Easy to use GUI – LCD & Joystick – NO homebrew software required (no any update of console SO can block this device)
- Region hack, Update blocker, Autoboot.
- Passthrough with FLAT-MOD mode built-in, play your DVD-R Wii & GC backups and Imports @3X read speed
- Powerful ARM9 MCU
- Totally Flexible Linux Kernel
- USB hub support for multiple USB devices connection

- Great File System support – use existing WBFS formatted media or ‘drag and drop’ ISOs to existing USB devices

- Future updates will bring more cool features:
* Disc ripping to WBFS

* Torrent & eMule download Client

So is there  a catch ?

Well actually there is in our opinion at least, although WODE boast the ability to Play backup Wii games on DS3-2 enabled consoles, it does not have the ability to bot backups via DVD media on D3-2 drives. As previously stated WODE does have the ability to boot games via USB and SD devices, however this is already possible for free by installing the Hombrew channel on any version of the Wii.

What Wode does is simplify the process and make it very natural and easy to use, only the enthusiast can jump straight in and start using WODE. Check back for more WODE updates.
